Step ONE

Let's get that device out of the box! In your package, you should have the box with the SAYF device, an instructions card, a QR code card, a free keychain and special offer card.

First step is to make sure you have all of these things. If you don't please contact us!

Step TWO

Go to your App Store / Play Store and download the SAYF app
Here are the links for easy access:

IOS
Play Store

Step THREE

Sign up on the app. Fill out the information in the spaces provided. (You can also use your Apple account or Google account!)

When you are finished signing up, you will be taken to the Activity page.

Quick Tip!
See what page you're one by looking at which of the icons at the bottom are highlighted in red!

The Activity page is where you will be able to view all the activities of people within your circle.

The Device page is where you can set up a new device or find out information about the battery level and status of your device if you've already set one up.

The Circle page is where you can view and edit your "Wearers" and "Watchers".

The Settings page allows you to change the settings of your app and account.

Step FOUR

Go to the device page using the navigation at the bottom of the screen.

If you haven't set up a device before you will see a big button asking you to set up a new device. (You can only have one device per account)

Step FIVE

Choose a SAYF code.

This 4 digit PIN code will be used to abort the SOS alert if you have pressed it accidentally or are now safe after being in danger.

Keep this code private and don't give it to anyone you don't trust. If a stranger has this code, they will be able to cancel the alert from being sent to your circle!

Quick Tip!
The button requires some force to actually press it.
The button also needs to be "double pressed" or pressed twice quickly in succession.

This is to help avoid accidental alerts being sent. (It is not SO tough that it cannot be pressed easily...only needs an intentional amount of force)

After pressing the button for an alert, you will have 6 seconds to enter your PIN before the alert is actually sent to further avoid any accidental presses.

Step SIX

After confirming your PIN in the app, you will then need to get your QR code card.

Tap on the green button to scan your QR code.

Step SEVEN

When the scanning is finished, the app will ask you to "double press" the button.

This is where you press the button twice quickly. This will pair your phone to your device.

If this was done successfully, the app will automatically move onto the next step, if it was not done correctly, try again.

Step EIGHT

Your device is now paired and set up. Now it's time to check to make sure your SOS alerts work.

Double press the button as if you were in danger. (Don't worry, no one is going to be alerted... This is a test mode)

Once the alert is tested and has been triggered successfully, the app will proceed, if it hasn't moved on, try again!

The app will let you know if it was completed! Tap on "Done" when you are finished.

...and that's it!

Your device is officially set up.

Quick Tip

Your device page will now show the battery percentage and the status of your device. Your device status should ALWAYS say "Ready" if it does not, you should contact us as it may not be working as it should!

The device takes a CR2025 coin battery. You can get them where you usually buy watch batteries as well as we sell them.
